Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “I’m going with Captain Blood in the highest resolution version you can play (though I did really like Tom Baker’s second season and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves).” Blaine says, “of those I’ve seen, Doctor Who is my pick, but both Captain Blood and Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves are on my watch list.”

  1. I highly recommend the latest D&D movie. Extremely underrated. Captures the fun of playing with your friends in a way the other movies never did. Some people were saying it ripped off Guardians of the Galaxy, but I believe Gunn has said that the goofiness and tone of sitting around an RPG table was what inspired Guardians. So it’s full circle.

I’ve put off watching Wicked, waiting for part two to drop. (I’ve already read the book and seen the musical on stage, so it’s not worth getting half the story).

    • The D&D movie was great. There were plenty of parts where they are clearly acting out in character moments that are glossed over at a table, too. Like travel being instantaneous for long stretches, or everything is handed to one person to go into their bag of holding, or.. or… or…

It’s just good. I might go watch it again, now that you mentioned it!
