It’s 10:00 Where I Am, And this Hasn’t Aired Yet. You’ve Seen It already With your Satalite, haven’t You.

Not satellite. A Channel here in Edmonton runs Buffy on Mondays and Enterprise on Tuesdays.

  2. This looks to be the end.
I’m gonna guess Buffy becomes the real big bad and the scoobies need to clean up the their mess from last season. That or suicide, but I don’t think Joss would do the same thing as season 5.

That’s one option. Don’t forget, there’s a spin-off out there too. Eliza Dusku will return to both series, so that implies some cross-over in the storylines. The thing that tried to possess Willow in the previous episode looked like the demon that broke through the street in Angel‘s most recent new episode, in my opinion. I’m betting on the shows converging by the end of the season, and Buffy getting taken out of the picture. (I’d know I’d tune in to Kennedy the Vampire Slayer.)

I thought about kennedy, but Joss’s whole concept behind buffy is a helpless little blonde girl that is actually the supernatural hero, as opposed to most slasher flicks where they die :). Anything is possible but I think it would be a whole ‘nother spinoff like Angel. ‘Dawn the key’ (uck)

Interesting idea that. What if Xander and Willow go on to be the new Watchers for whichever Slayer takes over after Buffy dies (again)? Someone will have to rebuild that institution after all. Considering Faith’s history, it’d be interesting if she were part of any new series as well.

I’m still leaning to thinking that Giles is actually dead, but rather than being a manifestation of the first evil he’s a manifestation of the first good. I mean, there has to be a balance to the universe, so even if the first good suffers from too much benevolent indifference to actually stand up and fight on its own, it would be interested in the first evil making a power grab.

Does anyone else notice that Buffy is becoming more and more like the first slayer? Not in looks (Buffy in dreads, ick) but in attitude? Cold, relentless, merciless. I think Dawn and the Scoobies are the only thing keeping her attached to her humanity any more.

You’re forgetting one very important fact: When Buffy came back last year, that wasn’t what created the “discontinuity in the slayer line.” That happened when Buffy came back after being drowned by the master in Season 1.

Buffy was revived by Xander, and Kendra was called as the next slayer. Kendra died, and then Faith was called. As someone else mentioned, Faith is making her return (In Angel episode 13, I hear) and she is slated to be on both shows.

It still seems to lead to that fact that Buffy may have to die to solve the problem, however. If Buffy dies a new slayer will not be called (None was this last time she died.) but if Faith bites it, then one will be called.

On another note, my vote for the new slayer for a spinoff is Chloe. The actress (Lalaine) has been on a few other things my wife and I have watched, and she would likely be pretty good at it.

Unless, of course, she simply finds a way to give up her Slayer status, thus removing herself from the Slayer line, and then goes off to head a new Watcher’s council.

Good Call. Another Idea, What If Buffy Were To have TO Give her Life, As A Slayer, But Wanted To stay Around To help Out, Just As A Mortal. Maybe She’d Find A Way To Transfer Herself Into Another Body. Maybe One Made Out Of The Same Stuff As Her. Maybe One That Wasn’t A Real Person To Begin With, so that She Won’t Be Missed In The Cosmic Balance Of Joss’ World.

          Or Maybe They’ll Use Dawn.

          On Giles:
Also, My Prediction Is That by The End Of The Season, He Still Won’t have Touched Anything. He’ll Keep Doing Things That Aren’t Convicting, but Kind Of Suspicious. Then, In The Last Episode, Buffy Will Fall Off Something, And AS She’s Falling, She’ll Reach For Giles, Planning To Grab Him To Save Her, He’ll Reach Out his Arm…

…And Grab Hers, And Haul Her Up. Joss Loves To Tease, That’s Painfully Obvious. I Wouldn’t Doubt He Sets That Up As A Big ‘Gotcha!’ At The End OF The Season.

  3. Power

It’s been pointed out that power is a big part of this season. We know that a human gains power after becoming a vampire. A human also gains power when becoming a vampire slayer.

Anyone care to guess at how much power a slayer would have if she were turned into a vampire?

I don’t think that’s the type of power they mean. Buffy’s new power comes from her acceptance of her role and her destiny. She’s not Buffy the cute, funny, wants-to-be-a-regular-girl Vampire Slayer anymore. She’s Buffy the Grim Reaper – singleminded, brutal and relentless, just like her prey. The Uber Vamp, an ancient killing machine, went down like a sack of potatoes compared to relative lightweights like the Judge, or the Mayor, or even the Master. Welcome to Thunderdome. Of course, a non-physical foe like the First is another problem altogether…

  4. Poll
    lol
Some one shold make a poll. Like who every one wants the Slayer of eigth season (or spinoff show)to be.
    I say Faith. Yay Faith!!!!!!!!!!
How about Kennedy or Amanda. Does anyone have anything against Amanda??
Willow should became a watcher of however that slayer will be. Hopefully not Buffy or Dawn. Sorry to thoose who like Dawn and Buffy.
