Charmed Discussion – “Centennial Charmed”

Sorry we’ve missed the last few Charmed discussions. Now that Angel has moved, I tend to forget there’s anything to watch on Sunday nights.

  1. symbiosis
I wonder if the shows did better when they were together than they will do seperatly…

I know I won’t watch as much Charmed now that it isn’t filling up the hour leading to Angel. I watch Charmed mostly for the chicks (hmmm…Milano….) and partly to compare their cheap effects to the ones in the better sci-fi/fantasy shows : )

  2. Time… Change
I didn’t notice a time change. I just brought up the TiVo menu and there it was along with Angel and all the other programs I normally watch:) Let the networks fight and shuffle their programing as they will, I will no longer be a slave to their shackles.

Those who thought that Cole would survive this episode after the advertisements claiming that one of the characters wouldn’t live to see episode 101 please exit the forum now:) I did enjoy the character of Cole but there really was only so much left to do with him. They had to move on. I hope they can come up with another suitable plot line to keep my interest.

Amen to Tivo! It’s letting me catch up on the first seasons I missed when I couldn’t get WB, now that they’re being rerun on TNT, albeit hacked up.

I’m also glad that they’re moving on from Cole: you can only die and come back so many times. Though I think they were poking fun at that when they made him “invincible” and “dieing” all the time.

I am getting so sick and tired of the lame excuse that the show’s writers could not do more with Cole. And I’m getting sick of the “it’s time to move on from Cole” comments.

It strikes me that too many of the show’s fans are too blind to realize that Kern and his writers never really bothered to much with Cole’s storyline in Season 5, because he was in danger of stealing the show from the three main characters. Let’s face it people! Cole Turner was a hell of a lot more intersting than the Halliwell sisters who have turned out to be a trio of narrow-minded, bitchy do-gooders. CHARMED would have been a hell of a lot more interesting if Kern had killed off the Charmed Ones and Leo and allow the Cole Turner character to take over. Then I would have stuck with the damn show!
