The Dead Zone Discussion – “Ascent”

Is the mayor of the Dead Zone trying to become a huge snake-like demon, or does the title mean something else entirely?

  1. Ascent
Well, last weeks episode was entitled “Descent” in which Johnny and Walt went into an abandoned mine to rescue some lost kids. Walt was hurt in a cave in and slipped into a coma. “Ascent” is the conclusion to this story as Johnny tries to bring Walt out of the coma.

  2. Enjoyed
I’m really starting to enjoy this show. I hope it can keep up a good evolving plotline intertwined with some good individual stories. I really like the fact that Johny and the sherif have a friendly relationship. The visions are done very well. Interesting that Johny now knows that little Johny is his son. I don’t believe he knew that for a fact before this episode, though i’m sure he could have found out if he had really wanted to.

John has known the boy was his since shortly after he got out of the coma in the series opener. They’ve all agreed that it’s best he continues to think the sherif is his father.

  3. Now then…
Is the funeral scene from last week a prediction that Johnny has avoided by changing things, or just moved to some other future point? And someone wanna let me in on whether or not Johnny was lying about the actions the night he got his rings back? I missed that ep.
