And, of course, DC has announced that an established character will be revealed to be gay. Since they’ve already got Batwoman and Rene Montoya, I doubt it will be a female character.
Booster Gold seems to be the fanboard frontrunner. Anyone else?
They have stated it is a male character not seen since the New 52 relaunch. The “you haven’t seen him yet” bit rules out Booster Gold due to his role in JLI. He was also once considered a major player in the DCU, so I’m guessing the conspicuously absent Wally West.
“Kid Flash” also has a longer pedigree, so remains more well-known to the general public (do non-comic-book-readers even know who Booster Gold is?). It would be an announcement that might get mainstream press, without actually affecting the lifestyle of the bigger names.

Just got caught up on this week’s reading. Pied Piper is revealed as gay in “Flash #9.” He’s still a reformed criminal. Originally, he was reformed by his friend, Wally West. We know who Pied Piper’s ex is now, but we don’t know who his current boyfriend is. My money’s on Wally.
