Weirdly, RightStuf has a much more reasonable price point – so you might want to consider going through RightStuf instead. | |

Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “there’s no shortage of quality this week, due in large part to Universal’s 100th Anniversary. Take your pick of Twlight Zone, The Sting and Spartacus.” Alex says, “If you’re a wrestling fan, the ECW collection is worth picking up. Also, Boogiepop Phantom is a horror series that I’ve heard good things about, and is going in my Netflix queue. Finally, if wrestling and anime aren’t your thing – I’d definitely recommend (if you don’t own them already), US Marshals & The Mummy.”
So, John Carter… that was pretty shitty, right?
It didn’t do well, however, it got a 51/100 on Metacritic. Not spectacular, but not horrible either. Maybe leaving “Mars” out of the title hurt it? Major marketing push, but, unless you were familiar with the books, most people probably just went “huh?” on the commercials. I’ve got it on my hold list, but mostly out of morbid curiosity.
Yeah… I did read the books, that’s kind of why I’m worried…
