  1. FFO?
What I want to know about is Final Fantasy Origins (I & II).

When will Nintendo quit the hardware business (like Sega) and give us some Link games (Zelda) for my PS2?

The last time I heard, it was slated for an Apirl 8 release of both games on a single CD-ROM. The menus and shops have different mechanics this time (allowing you to buy more than one of an item at once, and letting you know who can use what armour and how their stats would change, for example), as well as giving you the option to play with or without the new enhancements (dash, retargeting instead of ineffective, etc.)

  2. 3D
Awww, damn, its gonna be a 3D Castlevania. Was hoping for another high-quality side scroller like Symphony of the Night. Now THAT was engaging gaming (I still like to finish it once a year).

Bah, at least I get to tease my Cube-owning, Castlevania-loving friend!

    ;- )

I like 2D side-scrollers as much as the next guy, but I’m all for 3D if it helps developers avoid making extrememly hard games… think Contra: Shattered Soldier (PS2).

I know I’m not among the best gamers in the world (not even close), but that game was a real bitch. :(

It wouldn’t have been so hard if you could see where the hell you reappear after you get killed…

But there are so many examples of good 2D games that have been butchered in 3D sequels. I just wish game developpers weren’t so obsessed with trends and were more concerned with making good games.
Not that I know that the next castlevania will be like that, I’m just ranting a bit.

And BTW, I’m sure you could come up with a zillion 3D platformers that were way too hard because they were in 3D…I know I could.
