Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “Being that it is set and filmed in Portland, I’m contractually obligated to make Grimm my pick of the week, with Clue running a close second.” Blaine says, “the first two Forbidden Hollywood collections were great, but I haven’t seen the third. The latest two are tempting, but I haven’t seen them yet.”
I’m wondering about Iron Sky. Has anyone seen it, and is it any good?

Blaine: Wait ’til the stuff you liked in university starts getting 25th Anniversary releases. Also, since I likely will never see Adventures in Babysitting, could you provide any context for this Mighty WTF:
The young girl was a massive fan of “Thor” from the comics. The mechanic just happened to look the part, so she was able to get through to him, thus making the character useful and productive in the course of the evening. I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it again, but if it were on TV (and if I hadn’t cancelled my cable) I’d probably watch it again. As it stands, I doubt I’ll see it unless and until I introduce my niece to it.
RE: Animated Classics
The title is correct. They make animated versions of classic stories. How classic any given adaptation may be remains a puzzle for the viewer.
Leo the Lion is an “original” story they created and released on VHS weeks before The Lion King hit theatres. It was already billed as a classic.
Clue – Loved this in high school and college. Not sure if I would love it anymore though. Very campy and slapstick. Lots of silliness.
Some of the performances though are pretty wonderful, especially Tim Curry. IIRC, the plot moves along pretty quickly and it’s pretty fun overall. Like I said though, it’s been a few years since I’ve seen it, but it’s probably worth a watch.
