Angel Discussion – “Orpheus”

Angel has a new episode tonight. This is when we find out if Wesley wakes up in time. (If he doesn’t, can you imagine what it’ll do to him? He probably still feels guilty about failing Faith the first time…) This one guest stars Alyson Hannigan as Willow.

  1. Very Nice….
I particularly enjoyed the Willow and Wesley competing over the depths of their evil. Had to restrain myself from laughing out loud so I didn’t miss anything.

Also on the plus side… Faith not dead. Admittedly, would have been a little tough for her to crossover if she were, but the First could have pulled that off.

One slayer leaving the fold this year is more than enough. I can’t bear the idea of losing sweet, sweet Faith right now.

  2. Breaking News…
The end of Angel was interrupted by CNN, by what turned out to be pretty much a non-event (cruise missiles hitting a “target of opportunity”, Not the full scale war). Now I don’t know if I should be mad that I don’t know how angel ended, or ashamed because I care. But somebody tell me how it ended.

May the Almighty protect our soldirs and guide our leaders…

Wasn’t pre-empted here, what was the last part you saw?

Here in New York, the end was pre-empted as well. The last part that I saw was Angel & Faith talking and Faith said she was going to Sunnydale. She said that the way Willow talked it up, that was where she needed to be.

Right then, they cut in with the news. What happened after that?

Well, Willow and Angel hugged following some funny Faith-Gunn-Angel banter concerning hugs from Angel, Fred rambled on about some esoteric demon-book latin stuff to Willow, and then Willow said “The next time you plan to resurrect Angelus, give me a call first”, then left with Faith.

Angel started into the “worst is over speech”, and Evil-Cordelia came down the stairs, acting all menacing saying “If you’re going to give the worst-is-behind-us speech, don’t” whilst rubbing her belly, and then it ended (Ohhh, Cliffhanger!).

I think I got all the main points, and considering I watched it Tuesday night I’m happy

          • Re: Breaking News…
One thing you forgot to mention was that Evil Cordelia was wearing [rather revealing] Evil Maternity Clothes. ;)

Fred started rambling about a half demon/half latin book she wanted to read with Willow and how some of the parts were funny. At least the latin ones…

As Fred continues to ramble Willow looks at her and says “Um, I’m seeing someone” :)

Willow/Fred = Cute couple (in a giving you diabetes, sugar overdose kind of way)

Connor punched out Gunn on his way to kill angel, and then nothing.

Lucky. Where I live the whole episode was smothered by a CNN
news feed. CNN took over about a minute after “previously on
Angel” and went away just in time for Elimidate… So, for an hour I
had the same CNN feed on three channels. All so I could watch
Aaron Brown find new and interesting ways to say “we don’t know
      anything.”

      Damn war

If Angel Had Been PRempted Here, I’d Actually Have Probably Cared About The war Enough To Protest It.

Before that, I’m Still Actively Apathetic.

    • Re: AICN has transcript

The last few minutes of this episode have been transcribed at this Ain’t It Cool News page, for the benifit of those of us who had it pre-empted. (Grr. Argh.)

      That’s very cool of them.
But since I would need the last 60 (or44, depends how you look at it) minutes, I’m not impressed ;- )
Lets see what our friends the P2P people can do about this…

      • Fake Spoiler
…I had to start joining my wife regularly for Angel when I heard about the upcoming “Faith” crossover. Here’s my fake spoiler:

Cordy is actually Cordy, possessed by her unborn child, who is not Connor’s, but is, in fact, the First trying to make itself flesh, in a clever demonic parody of the Christian story. Ok, that won’t happen, but if it does, remember where you heard it.

I would go with this, but change it from The First to the boss of the Beast, who is trying to enter our world through Cordy. Perhaps the Boss’ essence was hiding within Cordy but needed a physical vessel, thus it motivated Cordy to get it on with Connor and create a little human body for it to inhabit.

          How’s that sound?

Absolutely…. But I’m thinking the Boss is the First under another name, and the two finales will crossover, despite the different networks. Of course, I didn’t see most of the season up to a couple weeks ago, so information about the Beast’s Boss may make it impossible for it and the First to be the same.

(of course, the Unified Field Crossover History may eventually say that it happened that way).

      Awright!
Although, I don’t get the WB, I get Angel via Fox…bah, there’s still hope at least! : )

Well, I seem to recall someone saying it would be September when season two would be released. As to your schedule, this is the time that Angel is on in your area. Enjoy.

Also, a site that I know and love, Google, is also a good place to get this kind of information. Oddly enough, when I typed the search for “Angel Season Two release date” in, the link I gave above was given first.

    • Re: does anyone know?

does anyone know if they show angel on directv??

Yes, if you get the local channels option, and if you have a local channel that shows Angel. We have a DirecTivo, live near L.A., and get Angel on KTLA 5.
