Revolution Discussion: “Chained Heat”

“the state of genre television is pretty poor.”
–Brian Rollins, “2012 Emmy Results,” Bureau42.

No review for episode two, but we’re posting a place for discussion. Is anyone continuing with Terra Event? Does anyone want us to continue discussing this series?

PRO: The villains have potential, and the flashbacks to the early days prove far more dramatic than anything happening in the show’s present tense.
CON: Episode two– often a critical one, as much can go awry with a pilot– doesn’t improve much on the first one.

  1. My cable provider saw fit to rearrange the entire lineup of channels last week and somehow my TiVo season pass ended up on the wrong channel, and I didn’t notice until I sat down to watch this. So I haven’t seen it yet. It’s supposed to record on Saturday sometime, so I may chime in then.

  2. OK, so this episode was a bit of a stinker. The last 30 seconds were more interesting than the hour that preceded it.

Things are going to have to improve quite a bit to keep me coming back… At the moment I’m really only curious about what is suppressing the power.

I think the show would be far more interesting if they turned the power back on fast, there’s a lot more potential for fun/mayhem in that scenario, and it gets rid of a lot of the problems.
