WWE Presents – CM Punk: Best in the World
Amazon

  • Blu-Ray: US, CAN
Comments Alex: Unfortunately, the matches in this DVD are almost entirely from Punk’s WWE career, with no matches from his indie run, which is somewhat tragic as it’s his indie run that helped set up some of his best storylines, like the Straight Edge Society, to when he left with the title.

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “Well, if you’re a wrestling fan, you should probably check out the CM Punk: Best in the World collection. Otherwise, as a fan of mysteries, Heaven’s Memo Pad has caught my interest, and if it becomes available through Netflix or Hulu, I’ll definitely check it out.” Blaine says, “you can’t go wrong with Hitchcock as Dial M for Murder and Strangers on a Train get format upgrades this week.”

  1. Interesting week: Little Shop of Horrors now has the alternate, darker ending that the studio rejected, ….Baby Jane? has a deserved reputation as something you should see at least once, Magical Mystery Tour…. uh, has good music and a very different reputation as something you should see once– in stunned (some of you might change the vowel and drop an “n”) disbelief–, and that 80s SF package features a good price for several interesting, though flawed, films.

  2. Must resist the cheezy goodness of that sci-fi four-pack!

Also, ET is a great film to pick up, if you don’t have it. There’s an entire generation that hasn’t seen this yet.
