Angel Discussion – “Players” (NEW)

I thought last week would be the last new episode for a while. It looks like I was wrong. I hope this gets out soon enough for people to catch it if they want to. It doesn’t look like there’s an “Easy View” rerun on Sunday, but there is the series premier of Black Sash, the new show by the production team behind Smallville. I’ll try to catch it and review it here.

  1. That’s Odd
I got a double bill of Buffy, instead of the usual Buffy then Angel last night. Perhaps Space will run it on Thursday.

And after consultation of the all-powerful TV Guide, it seems I was supposed to have a new Angel last night too. Well…. I suppose there are always reruns.

Space will be running Angel tonight if you missed it yesterday. (It usually airs it on Thursdays.) It also looks like it’ll be airing the last two episodes of Birds of Prey on April 6 and 13, if anyone who missed them gets that channel.

  2. Not much that can be said…
Man, Angel just keeps getting better and better!

Am I the only one who prefers Gunn with Gwen rather than cute but annoying Fred? I hope they keep her around next season (assuming, of course, she survives this one!).

Gotta Say I Love The Ending. My Friends And I Were Speculating On How Many Shots It Took To get That One Right.

We Also thought It Would have Been Entertaining If It’s Replied With ‘No’. (Because You Know Those 8 Balls Aren’t Reliable), Or As someone else Commented ‘Ask Again Later’, Because We All have To Go Look Again Tomorrow.

        ….Go Look Again Tomorrow.

        Tomorrow?

Man, I’ve Been at Work To Long. Make That ‘Next Week’ Or Whenever The Next Real Episode Is On. I’m Going Back To Sleep.

Hay your not the only one who thinks Gwen and Gunn look good to gather! lol
I do kind off like Fred though.
I thought the “defenitley” in/on the eight ball was fuuny and so true. lol
I loved that look on poor Angels face when he busted Cordy.

  3. Finaly
Ok, at first, I was quite confused since some kind of armed conflict prevented me from watching my regularly programmed TV last week. I was like “whe’res the Slayer? How come Angel has lost his “us” and gotten his soul back?” And so forth, and then they filled in the blanks and I guessed the rest : )

But they finally caught Cordy! So I’m hoping that will put an end to the creepy “Daddies have responsibilities” talks.

Given that Conner was nowhere to be seen in the last scene (those were unfortunate homonyms), I expect that situation could be a bone of contention in the next episode. After all, the obvious solution is to kill the baby/fetus and I don’t think Conner will be sanguine about a plan like that.

      • Re: broadcast (and volatile remark)
Neither the regular affiliate nor Space broadcast the new Angel ep this week…. Just when I was starting to watch it, too. What is this, another protest against Canada not sending troops?

(ok, I’m kidding…. But I wish we’d get some slack. We were in both world wars for years before the U.S. joined the fray– and the second was a lot less controversial than this conflict)

The Space website said they planned to air it Thursday as usual. What did they air instead?

They played the episode that took place directly after the “Rain of Fire” episode I believe. I only watched the first few minutes before I realized that I’d seen it. Maybe we’ll get it next week.

Fair enough. The last time I remember using either word was in the second grade. :)

So what does everyone think about the Gunn and Gwen thing?
And what about Fred and Wesley are they invloved? should they be?
