Yahoo has a rather ludicrous story that they picked up from the Weekly World News. I don’t believe the alibi for a moment, nor am I convinced the man actually exists, but it’s just far too entertaining to ignore.

Remember…
The Weekly World News successfully won a lawsuit on the grounds that it was entertainment and not news, and that nobody would be expected to believe any of their stories were true.
But it is a cool story.
Re: Remember…
It was also the plot of the second Back to the Future movie. Geez, these guys could write for Enterprise.
Re: Remember…
SHHH!!! Don’t give B&B ideas!!!!
Re: Remember…
Actually, there has already been a similar plot in ST:TNG with a time-traveler played by Matt Frewer. A man travels forward to steal technology and take it back to “invent” it.
So, due to B&B’s recent track record we’re already due to see a new incarnation.
Re: Remember…
Yeah, I’d forgotten about that ep. Anyone remember what era they sent his ship to in the end? Maybe that could appear in Enterprise. (Except that would require B&B to know Trek‘s history).
Re: Remember…
Supposedly some time in the 22nd century.
