  1. You know, I don’t LIKE this tournament thing.

It makes me think I haven’t watched enough movies.

    • That’s been happening in round one. A LOT of movies are getting votes from less than 10% of the voters. That should be less and less common as we get through round two and beyond. When we do the fantasy tournament after this, we’re going to be selecting the movies differently, though we haven’t decided exactly how yet. I think we need to get to round two faster. We are open to suggestions. We may just do it entirely by write in votes and/or IMDB scores. (Write in votes for the sci-fi tournament can be submitted now.)

      • Hmm. Well the quick way to do the fantasy tournament is to just put up the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings movies in a single bracket. It will save time.

    • Just did the math: 23% of the movies have been seen by less than 10% of the voters. 35 out of 384 titles have received 0 votes to date. We’ll definitely do something different for the next tournament.

  2. That is SOOO reassuring. I thought I was pretty well versed in genre films, excepting those sub-genres that don’t really interest me too much, but my watch list has grown considerably over the last few weeks. It’s good to know that I’m not the only one feeling that! So many movies, so little time… :(
