The first round of eliminations continues here. The complete elimination bracket can be seen here. We had two statistical upsets last week: based on the round one voting, The Iron Giant (1999) was expected to beat E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (1982) and Summer Wars (2009) was expected to beat Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956).
I’m not surprised that Summer Wars got beat by the 1956 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers – the latter film is a highly regarded classic (though the 70s remake is generally considered better, from what I’ve encountered).
