Angel Discussion – “The Magic Bullet” (new)

Some of last week’s questions are bound to be answered. How many new ones will turn up?

  1. y42 was right.

y42 made the right call about the cure last week. Of course, now we have a couple of new questions to get answers to.

Also, I have to say this was a beautiful teaser. I hope this gets renewed.

My Guess At Answers, Connor Wasn’t affected because He’s Jasmine’s Father. He Already Has Her Blood, So That Didn’t Do Anything To Him. As To How They’re All Going To Get Out Of This Whole Mess? No Clue.

The Teaser was Decent, But I Have Trouble with The ‘Love Of his Life’ Thing. Remember When He Lost His Soul? He Said ‘Buffy’. But Then Again, In The Image, You See Connor Standing Over Cordy, Not Angel. Also, Since He’s Going To Visit Buffy Later On, My Guess Would Be That Is Who they’re Refering To.

I have a thought… take Cordy’s bleeding body down to the local reservoir and bathe her…

        Just a thought…

The teaser was indeed excellent but even more important, how about the tension generated while Lorne was walking back to the room with Wesley and Gunn – I felt like any second one of them could have been slashing the green songster’s throat, Conner joining them and then driving Angel and Fred out of the place. The same was true of the walk with Conner and Wes. Altogether a VERY well put-together episode from laugh-out-loud funny (Conner and Angel doing the duet of Jasmine to the tune of Mandy) to “who’s gonna die now?”

Dark as it ever was, dark as it ever was…

Agreed. Also, At The End, When Conner Was Standing In Bewilderment…

I’ve Gotten To The Point Where I’m Sure Joss Is Willing To Do Exactly What You Expect, Just To Mess With You. At First, I Though ‘He’s Not Being Cured’, Then I Wasn’t Sure, Since It Was Just So Obvious…

I’m Still Not Sure. He might Have Been Cured, But Decided That He Liked The Way Jasmine Made Him Feel, And Wanted It Back.

That could be, remember it took both Angel and Fred to see the
“true” face of Jasmine to actual break out of it. Maybe as soon as Conner
sees Jasmine he’ll see the truth (or he’ll see her through the love of a
          father and not care?)

But not apparently Wes, Gun and Lorne. I go with the fact that his blood is her blood.

On the other hand, if I were Jasmine, I’d have eaten them all first, save Conner, as being the most dangerous threats to me.

If villains weren’t cursed with over-confidence, James Bond would have only had one book and movie. Oh, and the Iraqi Information Minister would’ve been no fun at all.

I don’t think Jasmin has been overconfident. She seems very cautious to
me. She’s carefull enough to have Fred brought to her alive so she can
find out why her “love” doesn’t reach her anymore.
                I bet she’ll make
an announcement that her blood is sacred an noone must touch it soon.

On the plus side, a certain someone was practising her mandarin! Isn’t
                that something ; )

ahhh, you noticed that too? Now if only Caleb would start speaking in
Mandarin we could have a full-fledged conspiracy!

Wasn’t It Cantonese On Firefly, However?

Yes, but so’s Angel’s blood, in a way – or is that a too distant relationship and it only applies to the parents?

Which would mean that Cordy might be affected and immune to the cure if she ever wakes up.

Although then again she might not – I suspect that she might be immune to Jasmine, but she’s unconscious as long as Jasmine’s in human form because their life forces are linked (remember what Skip said about how she was supposed to die in labour due to her life being drained)

Oh, and a theory on why that didn’t happen – Angel was about to kill Cordelia to prevent Jasmine being born. Jasmine perceived this and forced herself to emerge earlier than she should have. Thus Cordelia only ends up in a coma – and Fred and some others can be immune to her, because her power isn’t as complete as she intended it to be.

Just a theory, we’ll see how it pans out.

(I’m a new guy first post) There’s no big secret to Cordy’s coma Skip said she could die in labour or become a vegetable and since killing her would make it really hard to bring Cordy back in later episodes, the creators decided a coma would be a better route. Plus i bet there will be a lot more suspense in later episodes with Cordy still alive and all (whats up with the blue ball Angel was holding in the preveiw for the coming episode i think it’s just cordy’s blood but it could be something better.)
