• AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #700 – This is a big one. It’s also a great one. My local comic guy (who will go unnamed here so he doesn’t get into trouble) knows that I’m about to leave town on vacation, and that I hate spoilers. To help me avoid out of context spoilers before I’m able to return and read the issue as intended, he let me read a copy last week. (He’s not allowed to sell it early, so he found a loophole.) Spoilers abound, but you won’t get them from me. What you will hear from me is that the forthcoming Superior Spider-Man title will focus on a Spider-Man who isn’t Peter Parker, but who is a hero who needs to learn what being a hero really means. This is the most excited I’ve been about the Spider-Man franchise for a long time. Major kudos go to Dan Slott on this one.
