Premise

The final chapter of the tale that describes the complete
destruction
of the Marvel Universe.

High Point

The artwork on the two-page spread for the moment of blind
anger.

Low Point

That great, cataclysmic battle I was so hoping to see was a
world-class disappointment.

The Scores

I thought this series would be original because the
Universe
gets destroyed. The great big “reset” button should not have
been
pushed, even though it didn’t reset things exactly. It undercut
what
I thought was original in the earlier issues. I give it 2 out of 6.

The artwork in this issue was very good. The
massively
populated scenes were well drawn, and the rest was restricted to
the
characters Starlin likes best. I give it 4 out of 6.

The story was an interesting but predictable close,
until
those last few pages. I give it 3 out of 6.

The characterization added nothing new to what was
already
said. It was mainly Thanos yakking on at length about who he
thinks
he is. I give it 3 out of 6.

The emotional response was marred by how
colossal the
let-down was. I’m think I’m done with Starlin’s miniseries from
now
on. I give it 1 out of 6.

The flow worked, primarily because a huge chunk of
this issue
was a conversation between two people. I give it 4 out of 6.

Overall, a bad ending to a mediocre series. I
wouldn’t
recommend it. I give it 2 out of 6.

In total, Marvel Universe: The End receives 19
out of 42.
