  1. Check again
More details are up today. Looks like we’ll get an audio commentary for the pilot and first episode (nothing said about the season finale, which I found surprising), and deleted scenes for the pilot (should be interesting), plus the usual DVD features (storyboards, TV spots, and DVD-ROM links to merchandising).

I was hoping that they wouldn’t use the same picture for the cover as they used for the DVD release of the pilot up here in Canada, as I think it’s kind of ugly and says “Look at me, I’m Superman”. Does anyone here have a copy of the pilot on DVD (or perhaps has seen it)? I would be interested in knowing if the some of the extras are the same (deleted scenes and commentary for instance – I can’t see them recording two different commentaries for the same thing, so I would assume that it’s either not included in the pilot release, or it’s the same one).

      deleted scenes for the pilot

I wonder if it’s the same scenes they removed after the original airing of the pilot (where Clark stacks the football players trucks on top of each other in the parking lot)? That was pretty cool, and it was disappointing to see it cut in following airings of that episode. But probably done due to time constraints.

Yeah, I picked up and reviewed a copy a while ago. It looks like the same set
of extras. The pilot will most likely be the full-length version, while the deleted
scenes will be the ones that the WB has never broadcast. The commentary is
likely the same as on the Pilot DVD release, as are the deleted scenes (most
of which show extra background of the relationship between Lionel Luthor and
      Pete’s family.)
