rickyjames writes, Fans of ‘Firefly’ can now pre-order ‘Firefly: Complete Series’ from AMAZON.COM. Initial response has been impressive, with the preorders making the DVD skyrocket to near the top of the Amazon DVD Top Seller List (a ranking which may or may not last, but is still cool and might help sell the idea of a movie). The DVD set contains all episodes of Firefly, including the three that were never aired in the US, and the notorious Firefly gag reel. Also included are loads of interviews and commentaries on most of the episodes by cast members, writers, and directors–including Joss Whedon. Due out December 9th, 2003 and priced at $37.49 (a saving of $12.49–25% off) and includes free shipping under the Super Saver Shipping option, this boxed DVD set is a must have for all current and future fans of Joss Whedon’s very first sci-fi series. Note, the DVDs are encoded for Region 1 (U.S. and Canada only) and will probably not be viewable in other countries (except with a computer). To pre-order your set, you can go here.
Something cool for Christmas!
Excellent.
Even more fuel to the flames. Showing the episodes out of order and prematurely cancelling this series are a couple of the stupidest things Fox has done in a very long time. Firefly is the only Joss Whedon show I like and of course it gets canned. I hope the movie project actually works out since the whole cast has said yes, supposedly.
Eeeexcellent
Just added another order to the count (;
In fact, I preordered quite a few items… I’m sure everyone here knows The Two Towers special edition is coming out in November. I’ve been waiting for the Errol Flynn version of “The Adventures fo Robin Hood” for ages!
And don’t forget that all the Indiana Jones movies are finally coming out on DVD, too!
Re: Eeeexcellent
Is that the “New” version of Indiana Jones, the one with the Ewoks??
Re: Eeeexcellent
Why, yes, yes it is. The crowd in Cairo is digitally replaced with Ewoks. Indy goes digitally nuts and digitally shoots them all in their furry, digitally enhanced heads.
Re: Eeeexcellent
Hrmm, but in ET he edited out the guns and violence. Perhaps you meant that Indy viciously pokes them with his digitally substituted walkie-talkie?
Re: Eeeexcellent
I can dream, can’t I? ;)
