- ORIGINAL DAREDEVIL ARCHIVES HC VOL 01 – Before blind lawyer Matt Murdock, there was a mute circus acrobat named Bart Hill who fought crime as Daredevil. The character first appeared in Silver Streak #6 before an anthology Daredevil title launched. Daredevil wasn’t the only hero in his own comic. In fact, the character of Daredevil only appeared until issue #70 in a 134 issue run. He was originally published by Lev Gleason comics, and when the trademark lapsed on the character name, Marvel’s publisher ordered his staff to create a similarly named character to capitalize on the old fans. They kept the acrobatic talents and the idea of a disability, even though they proved the disability wasn’t truly limiting, but they scrapped the rest. This collects the first four issues of the anthology Daredevil title.

I’m curious if anyone noticed that DC recently changed their digital comics discount policy. They used to decrease the price by $1.00 after 4 weeks and the recently changed that policy to reducing the price by $1.00 after 8 weeks.
I can see why they might want to do this, but I feel that it’s a bad move for the medium.
I hadn’t noticed that. I noticed that more of their books are moving up to $3.99 in print over $2.99, and that their market share is back to the pre-New 52 levels they had. (i.e. Marvel outperforms them by dollars and units almost 2:1 again.) Rapidly changing creative teams, rumoured to happen often when creators quit due to getting orders to change approved stories long after they have been approved.
