Aie!! Sorry everyone! Massive car trouble yesterday and this completely slipped my mind!
Once again, a great ep. good to see other characters coming to the fore, but I’m going to miss Will. Ennywho – I’m trying to figure out if I think Sloane is tied to the Covenant or if he’s a third party that didn’t directly do anything with Syd…He’s still pure evil, though. Go, talk. once again, sorry this is late. I’ll do a real review next week!

Nice to have a decent Tv show to watch.
Sloane is most definitely evil, and now that we know that the covenant is responsible in some way Sydney’s amnesia, we’ll probably spend the rest of the season in the “figuring out what happened” story-arc. Not a bad thing at all.
I like how they give us a whole new mystery and a new set of bad people to think about… I do think that the Rambaldi stuff was pretty darn cool though. I hope it comes back in some way. I could easily see Sloane as being the leader of the covenant, or somehow even more powerful and sinister…
Maybe he IS rambaldi reincarnate with a mindset of taking over the world…. “Do you know what I’m thinking pinky?…”

I too am appreciating the new direction (which I expect will turn out to an shallow curve rather than a tight turn). One of the things I really like, though, is the fact that Weiss is being used more. His character really suffered in the development area while Sydney and Vaughn were getting their thing together. I’m hopeful that we’ll get at least a couple of episodes this season focusing on him a bit more, and of course the Marshall situation. As much as I like Sydney, any show with this many characters needs to spread the story around a bit to stay fresh.
On another note, why is Will in “witness protection”? Syd whacked the evil Francie, Sark (another character it looks like we’re going to get more information about) has been in jail and Sloane is ostensibly a good guy (or at least not an evil wanted guy).

After two seasons, the best they could come up with was that the Rambaldi pieces formed a message of peace!?

they addressed this – Jack commented that he felt that was avfully anticlimactic and that he didn’t believe it. Sloane just stared at him. Trust me. it’s going to come up again.

Yer darn right it’s gonna come up again. No way all that medival weaponry shooting fireballs that burn up people, star charts, women that will result in desolation… no way that stuff ended up in a 5 letter word… Of course, they know that we know that… which is cool…
I agree with the comment about Weiss, he seems like a cool character. I wonder if he and Syd will start the romance thing…?
Will on the other hand, I think they might just be sitting him on the bench for a while. Since he’s not dead, they cna bring him back in any time. I thought that his character was pretty cool too. Heck, knowing the stuff they pull on this show, even Francie could come back at some point… maybe with a weird rambaldi heart embedded… heh
