  1. It’s worth mentioning that there are two different versions of The Five Doctors out there. There is the original broadcast version. There is also a special edition version with a number of updates, including different footage when Tom Baker’s Doctor returns and a number of updated effects and some extended scenes. I’ve seen both versions and, overall, the special edition seems to be the better version. The story itself is not affected by the changes so it doesn’t really matter which version you watch, though.
