Ever notice?
I thought this was a bit interesting.
Has anyone noticed this during the opening sequence while the theme songs plays? When the song lyrics say "Save me" it happens when Clark’s image is shown and then again when Lex’s image it shown. I don’t believe it happens for anyone else in the opening credits.

Actually I hadn’t noticed that, but that would certainly make sense. I just really dig that Remy Zero song, and we all start to sing it when it comes on (even my friends 6 year old son stands up and starts singing).
Last nights episode was great as usual. My friend said he’s getting tired of the Clark/Lana thing, but I think it’s more interesting now that they know how the other person feels (and they’ve tasted being together, and you know they both really want that still). It just adds a bit more sadness to Clark’s situation. When Lana said “you don’t have to be alone”. And Clark responded, “I might not have a choice.” That was just heartwrenching. Tom has really stepped into his role and definitely seems more comfortable in that character now. Watching the Season 1 DVDs, you can really see how he hesitated in the early episodes. But he’s gotten much better. Same with Kristen. Chloe and Pete are always right on (Chloe is just so damn hot too! Too bad she’s engaged in real life…lucky bastard…) :)
Anyways, you can really see Lex’s evil side shining through even more too. And while that’s sad to see because you know where it’s going to lead, it’s exciting because you know where it’s going to lead. :) And of course, Lionel is as evil as ever. But I anticipate Lex doing the old double cross/backstab move with him in the near future.
My only disappointment was the vague preview for next week. When it was finished, I said to the friends I was with, “I have no idea what the hell just happened there!” They all laughed and agreed. Really vague, but that makes it more interesting I suppose, since you’re itching for a whole week wondering what’s going to happen.
I just hope it doesn’t turn into a full fledged X-Files/Dawson’s Creek hybrid. The X-Files similarities I can handle. But Dawson’s Creek….no.

ON THE LAST EPISODE OF SMALLVILLE, WHEN CLARKE IS IN THE BARN WITH LANA, AND HE SAYIN HE WILL MEET HER AT THE WEDDING, THERE IS A SONG PLAYIN IN THE BACKGROUND WITH THE LYRICS " HERE BY MY SIDE" I NEED TO KNOW WHO IS THAT SONG BY!??????? PLEASE IM GOIN OUT OF MY MIND
Random thoughts…
Kryponite is a mineral, right? Meteor “rocks..” Uh since when do rocks melt over a campfire?
What is keeping Chole from figuring out Clark’s secret. Granted this isn’t on a Lois Lane scale but there is enough circumstancial evidence, not to mention hard, physical evidence of Clark’s powers that she has access too.
Will Lana be a bit more suspious after commando boy’s accusations?
Did anybody else notice that he was packing customized SL-8 and not G36K?
My cat’s breath smells like catfood.
Okay, it’s time for me to stop talking.

Great questions!!! Also how is it that Kriptonite affected so many people who came in direct contact with it and isn’t affecting anyone else? Isn’t it supposed to be a hazardous Material??
Second question has to do with the ship. Where did it go?? and isn’t it supposed to be there in the first Superman movie when Clark leaves Small ville for the “Fortress”???
Last question, Clark is moving so fast through town, but how could he know where the sniper was or where Lex was supposed to be? Just a bit too convinient don’t you all think?

1. Presumably, the people who develop strangeness from exposure to kryptonite have something in their genetic structure that makes them vulnerable to the changes (like metahumans in DC and mutants in Marvel – though in this case they’re only latent abilities until exposure). Also, some of the people were exposed in strange ways or for longer periods of time.
2. A) I’m sure the ship is somewhere out there and B) the first movie isn’t necessarily related in any way to canon, either comic or Smallville TV show.
3. Clark wasn’t running “through town.” He was running OUT of town from Smallville to Metropolis. He happened to arrive at the Luthorcorp building in the proverbial nick of time – he’d know to head there because he knows that Lex has joined his father’s company. He might not have been sure the sniper would be in Metropolis, but if he hadn’t then Clark would have ridden back to Smallville with Lex in order to protect him at his home (home and work would be the two logical places to set up a sniper hit).

The last we saw of it was Clark’s seemingly succussful attempt to blow
it up in the season two finale. As someone else pointed out, there’s no
requirement for this series to match up exactly with the continuity from
the films.
Never Sick?
I thought Lex’s comment about never being sick “a day in his life” a bit
strange, cosidering that it was only last episode that he had malaria,
fever dreams and everyting. Or did I miss something?

Lex has a kryptonite-induced superhuman ability to say things that are
not entirely true. We call this power “Lying”, he uses it often.

strange, cosidering that it was only last episode that he had malaria,
fever dreams and everyting. Or did I miss something?
Supposedly, it was malaria. But why couldn’t it simply be that isolation combined with nearly dying after being betrayed by the woman he loved drove him more than a little nuts? If this is indeed a turning point toward evil [or madness] for Lex, keep in mind also that the whole thing could be blamed [by a twisted mind] on Clark – his blood sample, his obsession with figuring out the car accident, his father’s fascination with him.
