I missed out on the Trigun manga last week, and I’ve been keeping up on the Hellboy: Weird Tales anthology, and Exiles. Plus, I see some more Sandman. And more Trigun … Oh, my back account is so fubarred.

new sandman is graphic novel only – seven stories about each of the endless. if you DO see a single comic of sandman, it’s one of the stories from the graphic novel for those of you uncertain as to whether you want it or not (probably will be a collectors’ item, but not any new material).

Actually, I purchased Endless Nights a while back, when it came out. This is something else that Gaiman appears not to have been involved in.

you must be talking about “Sandman, King of Dreams” – the “coffee table book” about sandman. Unless you’re an avid sandman collector, skip it. it offers little to people already intimately familiar with the series – unless you MUST read everything Sandman.
btw – I *do* recommend the Sandman Companion to anyone who liked Sandman, if for no other reason than the interviews w/Gaiman himself.

Wow, I’m getting every possible guess except the one on the list. No, they’ve got something listed as Sandman Presents Taller Tales, which looks to be closer to The Dreaming series/books than to Sandman proper. I haven’t read enough of it yet to have a significant opinion.

Gaiman has a stipulation w/DC that they can do anything they
want with the “world” as long as they don’t touch the Endless. So this really isn’t Sandman, as much as it is the background characters. Dream probably won’t even make an appearance.

Jake 2.0 truly is an amazing show, reminiscent of great UPN shows like Nowhere Man. I wander if it will last, after all it seems athat all really great shows end up the ways of Roswell…After a few seasons… It really sucks, but it seems that people can’t really like any shows that make them think, so anyone who can appreciate great writing and filmmaking, help me support Jake 2.0.
