Comments Alex: Anime series about Akatsuki, a boy from the real world, who had been whisked to a magical realm, had a magical adventure, and is now returning, with Miu, the Princess from that realm, in tow, and with both now posessing special abilities. The two now face a government organization which seeks to control them and their abilities, so the Akatsuki takes on the persona of an anti-hero while the two try to get to the bottom of what’s going on, so they can attempt to claim their freedom. The limited edition comes with an art box slip cover.

Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “of the titles I’ve actually seen, it’s the first and/or third Indiana Jones movie. I’m also willing to recommend Psych: The Musical based on the strength of the rest of the series.” Alex says, “I really liked the League of Denial documentary, and I’d say it’s definitely worth renting, if not buying, even if you don’t like football.”

One reply

  1. Psych: The Musical is on USA tonight, seems like it should be good. It’s been one of my favorite shows since it started, even if it has slipped a little in recent years.

Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters was enjoyable in the theater, and we already own the first one so picking it up is assured. I hope they continue making the series but at the rate they’re going, the actors will have aged out of the roles even more than they already have.

I do need to see Kick Ass 2, Riddick, and The Lone Ranger eventually. Either from Netflix or some other source. I know The Lone Ranger was widely panned, but I’m still morbidly curious about it.

Lastly – while I watched Burn Notice to the end, it was well past its prime. I didn’t really enjoy the last season. If the box set drops in price by about 80%+ I might consider getting it, but I won’t be going out of my way to buy the last couple seasons.
