Greatest Science Fiction Film Tournament, Round One, Week 17

We have now voted on 128 different TV series, leaving 64 to go. At most, 122 titles will move on to round two. (We have room for up to eight “wild card” submissions from readers, and have six thus far.) At this point, we can identify some titles that are definitely eliminated, and 58 titles that will definitely progress. (We could have announced some sooner, but I wanted to be a little more vague about their positions in the tournament.) Those titles are below. 1. I don’t look forward to Doctor Who (1963) vs. Doctor Who (2005).

I didn’t vote every week, so I may have missed some, but I’m surprised not to see “Star Trek: The Animated Series.” Also, I loved the original “V,” though I didn’t stick with the remake. If those didn’t get voted on yet, they should be.

    • “Star Trek: The Animated Series” has been voted on and is still in the running. (Week 6) The original “V” showed up in week 12, and is also still a contender. You should be able to see every initial show and the voting week on this list.
