Tru Calling Discussion – “Putting Out Fires”

When will the show really find its groove? Will Fox still be
airing it when it gets there?

  1. It was good, but…
Every time I see her, I just can’t help but think how much more I’d enjoy her as “Faith, the Vampire Slayer.” I guess putting her new show up against “Friends” is as good a “Kiss of Death” as anything. Maybe there’s still hope…

  2. steadily getting worse

There is no way in any hell that any fireman in street clothes would run into a burning building to save a girl, while his buddies in full gear stood arround outside, holding back some girl trying to stop him.

“I know where she is” my ass … you know she’s under a bed, tell someone with gear on she’s under the bed idiot.

Amen to that! Chief would skin alive anyone around our station that would think of hitting a building without a airpack… let alone in street clothes.

  3. Timing
Did anyone notice that the progression of her day the first time was lunch with brother, catch cheating boyfriend, shop with girlfriend. When she repeated the day, however, they reversed it so that she shopped first, stomped her man then had lunch with her brother.

Was that sloppy editing or was there some other purpose?

Sorry, I was just disappointed they didn’t have as many scenes of her RUNNING in a tight, low cut blouse like they did in the pilot. What was with the taxi, anyway??

I’m sure she’s contractually limited in the amount of loose boobie jogging she’ll do for the series. She’s still young and that sort of thing could lead to severe premature sagging not to mention implant rupture or ‘travel’. How much money can they pay her for it to be worthwhile to wake up one morning and find out that your implant is now somewhere around your clavicle?

  4. Interesting
It has some promise, thought it was a nice touch she couldn’t save the
    guy.

However. I really, really dislike the 30 min into recap.
