Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “the Doctor Who rerelease is good, but there’s much better stuff coming in June.” Alex says, “I almost went with Doctor Who: Enemy of the World here, until I saw that there was a Blu-Ray release of Nosferatu this week. If you’ve got a Blu-Ray player, I’d recommend getting Nosferatu, otherwise I’d recommend getting Enemy of the World. I also strongly recommend getting Serial Experiments Lain.”
Is Lain just a re-release? Nothing silly like a new dub? Don’t want to re-buy unless there’s a reason. (I don’t think I need this on Blu-Ray.)
No new bonus features for Lain.
The ’79 Nosferatu is definitely worth a look, especially if you haven’t watched any monstrous, scary vampires lately. I don’t know that I’d buy it, however.
I can recommend Monuments Men. It was a fun movie. Great if you’re into WWII, art, or both.
