Charmed Discussion – “Oh My Goddess”

Both parts of a two-part Charmed episode are
on tonight. Can viewers take two consecutive hours of
this?

  1. Ugh
Everytime I watch Charmed, it’s usually when nothing’s on and I feel like checking out the babage. What always irritates me is that Holly Marie Combs spends the greater part of every show I’ve seen bitching about how Leo isn’t around or that she needs Leo or some other bullshit. God, I want to kill her. And then, in this episode, they are all basically useless until he shows up. It’s really quite annoying.

    Now, as for this episode:

    – Those all-powerful titans were pretty easily dispatched. 90 minute buildup for that???

    – Leo can never see Holly Marie Combs again, but he can just pop in on the new kid whenever right in front of their house??? WTF?

Overall, it seemed like the first 90 minutes was just a set up for the ending. Totally not worth it.

I have to agree… The only reason I watch is for the babage. I haven’t seen this episode yet, but this whole season has been one big whine-about-Leo-cuz-he-left-me-all-alone fest.

As I recall, last season the elders all get toasted, so Leo make a decision. Not for himself. Not for the magic realm. He made the decision for his son. He wanted to make sure that things went as well as they could, all things considered, for Wyatt as he grew up and became whatever it is the show is leading to. Then Leo goes missing, and Piper takes it as a personal afront. He didn’t leave her. He didn’t choose his job over her. He did what he thought was best for his family, and things didn’t go quite according to plan. When do they ever? And Piper, who should know better by now, get’s all bitchy about it.

From what I’ve seen, Leo’s the one character on the show who is completely selfless. Even Pheobe and Paige can’t claim that.

I think a great direction for the show would be let the current story arc drop for a while and have the girls grow up a bit.

The thing I find odd is that if you watch the current season, he seems to be hanging around just as much as before.
