Seriously, the big thing keeping this from being fully equivalent to The Expendibles is the lack of any action stars from Hong Kong, such as Michelle Yeoh.

Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstin is the hands-down winner. If you already own a copy, go with X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Alex says, “Abbot and Costello Meets Frankenstein is worth picking up, but other then that, this week is skippable.”

  1. Fargo is definitely good, Martin Freeman and Allison Tolman especially did great jobs, but really everyone involved did.

  2. I haven’t seen Polanski’s take on Venus in Fur but the play upon which it is based is great. It even sorta kinda counts as our “genre,” due to one reading of a twist in the plot.
(it’s also an odd choice, given its themes and Polanski’s personal history).

On a very different note, everyone should see Bud and Lou meet Frankenstein, at least once.
