I started reading the X-universe in about 1995. A friend has all of Uncanny X, X-men, X-Factor, New Mutants etc and I read through them sequentially. I was really surprised by this comic in its flow of events as it was right after X-cutioners Song. In that place it was a very clever insightful story. Have to agree with Blaine though that reading it now in isolation it doesn’t hold its own without that context.
