You do know they are incredibly bad don’t you? Though I’d like to see the
review, you might have to give it a negative 6 for Production ;-)

And yes, I’ve watched a lot of ’em as a kid, it IS spider man after all, and that
    song rocks : )

Of course I do. I still watch them on Teletoon.

  2. From The Link:
Spidey takes on his biggest foes, including Dr. Octopus, The Green Goblin, Mysterio, The Rhino, The Kingpin, Dr. Magneto, and many more!

When Did he Get His Ph.D.?

I think he received an honorary degree from MIT after addressing the graduating class.

Seriously, whereas the 70s live-action show was generally bad bad, this is good bad– and considerably better than the surreally bad other Marvel TV toons of the ’60s.

What was that one with Spiderman teaming up with Iceman and the fire dude? Or was it a chick? Bleh, been a while. That was a good show though.

Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, with Iceman
and the first appearance of Firestar (a female, later in
the New Warriors) was from the 1980s. The 60s Marvel
cartoons included The Incredible Hulk, Namor, Iron Man,
Captain America, and Thor. They had 13 episodes each, and
each episode had three shorts, based on the half-issue
comics each character had in their respective titles.
(These were in the “Journey Into Mystery,” “Tales of
Suspense,” and “Tales to Astonish” days of 1966.) Marvel
also had a 26 episode run of Fantastic Four,
which was a bit less cheesy than these other ones. The
Marvel Super Heroes bit with the five stars had far worse
animation than the old Spider-Man cartoon, using frames
right out of the comics and drawing moving mouths on top.
Very little of anything else moved, though, so you’d have
scenes with Rick Baker running down a hallway that had an
image of him in mid-stride just sliding across the floor.
Very amusing. The mere existance of these cartoons is
probably the only reason the original Spider-Man would get
          a 2 in production instead of a 1.
