Hell yeah!
Compare and contrast the epic build from trailer 1 to trailer 2 here vs. the horrible letdown of Terminator Genesys trailer 1 vs trailer 2.
After the Trilogy That Shall Not Be Named, Star Wars had to win a lot of its fans back.
They’re doing a decent job.
I’m trying really hard not to get my hopes up.
That trailer made it significantly more challenging…
J. J. Abrams.
Red matter, giving out Star Ship’s like a carnival prize, retconning an entire Universe, turning one of the greatest exploratory science fiction shows of all time into a typical action blockbuster.
Does that help keep your hopes in check?
Which actually works for Star Wars far better than it does for Star Trek. I think Abrams will do a much better job with this than the last two Star Trek films.
Not feeling it. I’ll see it but frankly this trailer makes me want to see it less. While I enjoy Abrams new Trek movies, I enjoy them by going in and expecting an action movie in a familiar sci-fi setting. I get the same feeling from what see here. No real story depth just lots of action with some familiar props/characters.

On the other hand remember our hopes after this trailer.
