I listen to the soundtrack all the time.
From this we can deduce that people get to Arrakis before the year 10191-4000=6191. If we assume that FTL travel was not possible before that time, this gives us a sphere of space, centered on Earth, in which Arrakis exists.

Many possible dates exist for the fall of Atlantis, depending on whose timeline you’ve been reading. Where conflicts exist, I take the most scientific and rational course of action, and either select one or reject them all and make shit up.

Regarding Dune, there are widely-used concordances between the calendar used in the novel and ours, based on the characters’ understanding of our history, the era of “Emperor Hitler,” the first atomic bomb, the moving of the world capitol to Washington, et cetera. I stand by my dates for the events in the Dune saga.

All well and good, except that while Herbert read and let the Dune Encyclopedia be published, it is non-canon. The first prequels that have been put out have already started to shred it as a credible source.

If we regard the prequels as “canon.” I haven’t read them, and not everyone finds them worthwhile additions. In the end, my Timeline is a joke, so I’ll likely not change those dates, at least any time soon.

Yes, but the Hyborian age specifically takes place some time between the
fall of atlantis and the rise of the current historical civilisations.
Its not as much a question of when you place the fall of Atlantis, but the fact
that Conan lived after that. Also, I stopped reading after you omitted the
1903 War of The Worlds, so I can’t say for the Elmer Fudd reference : )

See, Conan had to be in the distant past, and there was a really good reason for the date I picked for Atlantis, and I can no longer recall what it was…. As soon as I remember and assess the situation, I may have to change history. Then again, maybe I won’t….

This move takes place in TWO timelines.
So you need to list it in 2061 as well.
Also the original time machine move had WWIII in 1964 or 1969 I think.

Time Machine is listed in two years: 2030 and 2037. If you have some proof on your statement on WWIII in Time Machine I will post it.

The 2061 data for first contact (Zephrin Cocrin’s first warp flight) is listed on the timeline at one of the startrek web sites. As for the Time Machine data for WWIII, I was refering to the George Pal movie. I don’t have that one on dvd or laser disk, but IIRC the date on his machine was in the ’60s when he landed the first time and the bombs started dropping. Maybe someone who has the DVD can check up on this.

I think the date for the far future year which the time traveller went to is wrong. Should be 802,701.
