  1. Beware the Aardvark!

Wow, I guess it’s true: Nobody watches ABC. Heck, I wouldn’t have known this was on if it weren’t for the giant spread in TV Guide. No wonder Eisner’s in trouble.

Back on topic, I taped this and watched it last night. Pretty cool. Shades of Twin Peaks with its off-beat characters and strange storyline. Since most everything else is sliding into a month-and-a-half hiatus, I’ll be tuning in. Anyone else?

I missed it due to a combination of Angel and taking a break from the too-much-TV lifestyle of a ReplayTV owner (I unplugged the thing). However, I’ll probably see it in a few days and if Angel’s going to start reruns, I will indeed be watching it. Angel is literally the only show I watch regularly and I can’t go cold turkey. ;)

ehhh…. I liked the aardvark. It was pretty decent a little bit to much tv movie stuff for me. (stuff happens impossibly fast or (like the hit & run sequence) it switches back & forth too many times… Overall though it was pretty good. It’s on the Tivo so that’ll get the next ep and I will be skipping through the long commercial breaks.

Does it bother anyone that most (I say most but in my experience it’s been all) of the reviews say it’s an anteater, not an aardvark? I know that’s being picky but how can you review something when you don’t even know the facts. I know, get a life. I’ll try.

I think it’s because it ate that Ant off his face with a long sticky tounge. Long sticky tounge + long nose + fuzzy = Anteater. I figured it was some kind of spirit animal, which doesn’t necessarily mean it follows reality. Plus, it’s got teeth like the Aliens, I don’t think either anteaters or aardvarks have those.

          Hmmm….again, I’m stuck on the details but…
Aardvarks have cylindrical (not sure I spelled that one right) teeth and while I haven’t actually ever looked an aardvark in the mouth, I picture them pretty much like the one in the show. They also have a long sticky tongue for lapping up ants, termites etc. Anteaters do not have teeth but only a long sticky tongue.
There, I’ll sleep better knowing that issue is cleared up.
          HAHAHA
