LOTR:ROTK on DVD in May

The bare-bones release of Lord of the Rings:
Return of the King
will be out May 25, according
to this
Cinescape article.
The November releases of the
deluxe editions have always been coming in as fast as
they can produce them, so I don’t expect that one to
get here any faster.

  1. “Bare Bones” release
Its very interesting that the theatrical release of Return of the king can even
come close to being called Bare bones. Sure it lacks the extended scenes, but
it’s not bare bones. It has more special features than most Special Edition
    DVDs that are released!

Just call it the theatrical release to distinguish it from the Extended versions

woo-hoo! can’t wait for the DVDs!

Tis good news, but it means I still have to wait to November to see it. My fault for refusing to see the theatrical version before the extended one I suppose.

Are you crazy? So you haven’t seen Return of the King at all because you want to see the extended version first? That’s madness! :D

Short answer: yes, I’m crazy. I do enjoy it though.

  2. sweet…
    I’ll pick this up.
I hope that they put out one nice box set of all 3 ext-editions… so far I own none of the ext-eds because I want to get the box set.
