Why Put Us Through This?
Is the whole cancellation thing just a ploy to enhance ratings for the remainder of the season? Was the hot new look for demon Fred too titillating to dismiss at the end of the season? Would it be to Mutant Enemy’s advantage to end the season with a cliffhanger so big that it would cause every Angel fan to travel to the WB home offices demanding a new season?
I don’t know, but the stress of the question marks is greater than the stress of knowing for sure that the show is ending. As Bill (rest in peace), would have said…”ACK!”

I suspect they decided to cancel it for whatever reason they did, then various lobbying and things from the people who make it got them at least back to the conference table looking for a basis to continue it. I doubt Joss wants it cancelled, so he’ll be pulling out all the stops to get another season. This kind of thing is probably perfectly normal.
Best thing is to sit back and wait to see what’s going to happen. Seems to me like there’s been no concrete decision at all.

This most certainly didn’t work in my case. When I heard it was canceled I went cold turkey and stopped watching it. I learned my lesson with Far Scape’s last episode.
I knew my postcards would pay off
yep yep. went to savingangel.com and used that link to USPS and used my credit card, sent about 30 post cards to each of the 2 executives on their list 1 per day for a month, that’ll teach em :) “Angel has been saving the world for years, now he needs your help…” yup yup, who could resist my charm :)
