DS9 Finally Comes to Spike TV

Enterprise got you feeling down? Seen every TNG episode on Spike? Never fear! Starting April 5th (with a marathon, no less), the “First Network for Men” will start airing the third Star Trek series.

In other geek-related goodness, Spike will also start airing MacGyver on March 30th.

  1. MacGyver
Yay! Just yesterday I was trying to remember how to make a rocket out of toothpaste, a cardboard tube and some magnesium filings from an ultra-light bicycle. Now I can relax and just take notes. ;)

Being a nerd, I am legally bound to ask the question: Who would win in a fight, MacGyver or Col. O’Neil? On the one hand, MacGyver has youth and resourcefulness, but O’Neil has guns, so I think it’s pretty even.

The sad thing is realizing the couple of episodes that MacGyver spent in caves and the fact that O’Neil goes into space. So I retract my question, as it has already been asked in one of the Angel threads :-)

you have to remember though that Macgyver’s mullet
        would
scare anyone to death now a days!

I think it would all come down to the setting and type of fight. The fairest setup might be for each to start with a satchel, both having chose half of the stuff that each has. Oh and put them in a large maze/junkyard.

In that “fair” setup it seems that anything that O’Neil picked, MacGyver would be quite capable of using (in some way or other). While the things MacGyver would pick would likely seem less usefull to O’Neil. Then again, O’Neil is well trained.

  2. Just so long as it doesn’t interrupt…
my precious, precious episodes of MXC. Best. Game Show. Ever.

  3. March 30th?
I’m confused. MacGyver has already been airing on SpikeTV for a few
weeks now. They’re taking a week off for a James Bond marathon, and
it’s coming back on March 30th.

I’m glad I’ll be able to see DS9 again. I feel like it hasn’t been on TV
    for ages.

Did not know that. I haven’t seen it on Spike and I just noticed it for the first time when hitting the Spike homepage. Thanks for the clarification!
