Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, ” The Blu-Ray release of Army of Darkness is definitely looking interesting.” Blaine says, “of the titles I’ve seen, I would have to decide whether it’s Army of Darkness or Monty Python and the Holy Grail that is in greatest need of an upgrade. I also want to draw attention to GTFO, not because I’ve seen it, but because the harassment it addresses is a major problem that needs to end sooner rather than later.”
I have already preordered the catapult version of Holy Grail. I somehow missed the Army of Darkness Blu-Ray or I would have that also. Somehow the only copy of AoD I own is a cut that includes some really blurry/unfinished extra footage cut in but doesn’t also show the original. I *hope* the directors cut here is better than that one.
And much to my dismay, my son actually liked Pixels and wanted to get the disc. He’s 11, so I’ll let that one go…
Army of Darkness was the first DVD I bought. I didn’t even have a DVD player yet (they were still pretty expensive). But it was a limited special edition thing with serial numbers and stuff (I have 2524/30,000), and I figured what the hell.
Then I got Bruce Campbell to sign it.
