Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “This week I’m going with the complete Justice League Unlimited.” Blaine says, “of the titles I’ve seen, Justice League Unlimited and WKRP are both must-own titles. Mr. Holmes is also on my ‘must see’ list, but I haven’t gotten to it yet.”
Better Call Saul best be on the list.
As for WKRP, does anyone know (to save me googling around) if the legal releases still lack the original music?
Some of the artists involved no longer license their music at all for any reason. All other original music is in place, so it’s up to about 90% original music, as opposed to the 20% we saw in the first DVD release. This is as good as it gets.
Oh goodness. If you’ve not seen Automan and Manimal, you probably should. I mean, not for $20 each, and possibly not the entire series (not that there are that many episodes of each) but I remember both shows from the ’80s. They are pretty cheesetacular, as befits the era, but in a “So Cheesy It’s Good” kind of way.
I’m going to check out Self/Less and Mr. Holmes. I’ll post reviews/comments if they’re worthwhile.
