If you missed it the first time, tune in tonight for one of the best episodes of the season (if not the best). The Xindi arc comes full-front in this great episode. It originally scored 33 out of 42.
The final six episodes of the season start next Wednesday (April 21st).
So what time does next week’s episode air?
I thought the series was moving to 9:00 PM, so I turned on my UPN affiliate at 8:50 PM (EDT) and caught the end of “Azati Prime” … I was grateful that I didn’t miss the second part of the story, but have they already canceled the computer animated lead-in? If they’re going to play hide and seek with this show, and viewers have to work to find it, the best story arc in the world won’t save it.

That might be the plan. They’ve done schedule-juggling to destroy a series before… I’d happily see Enterprise cancelled, although I don’t like the implications that would have for future Trek projects. They’re likely to assume that if Enterprise fails, no other Trek project will be able to succeed for some time. Which is totally untrue, of course; any Trek project with a decent setting and good scripts and storylines will succeed. Shame they seem to be rare at the moment.

I have to agree. Seems as though the hype is more exiting than the actual stories; one reason I am sure an audience will be lost. You can’t promise one thing and then deliver something else and expect audience gratification.
Starting up another Trek would be difficult if a new slant to stories could not be devised. So far I’ve noted one or two episodes of enterprise much too similar to older Trek stories or scripts from other series.
Hmmm. Does anyone know what Josh Wheyton’s doing in the near future? Star Trek the Universal Slayer?! LOL

Checking UPN.com I see Enterprise is back on in its earlier timeslot, 8/7 Central. It’s now followed by “I’m Still Alive.”

Well if they wanted to kill it for sure perhaps they could schedule it opposit “Swan”, “Survivor All-stars”, or the ever popular “American Idol”. Smallville seems, viewer wise, out of their league. Heck, with the dissapointing manner in which this series stories are going I feel a Mister Magoo film festival would hurt ratings!
Then again I am incredibly dissapointed in the “different” Trek stories we have seen recently; portrayal of the vulcan (romulan(?)), Archer the pawn of the Timeline manipulators, story universe inconsistancies, unconvincing Xinti rational for first strike upon Earth, etc, etc. etc. My wishes, therefore, are based on my emotional responses.

After reading countless hostile reviews of other Enterprise episodes, I’ve got to say: Come on lads, this is getting ridiculous! Yeah there has been some crap, but the show is now so much better than that. Some of you have lost sight of the good stuff Trek still delivers in your obsessive search for the smallest imperfections.
By the way people complain, anyone would think Enterprise was a total waste of time. After watching the third series of Enterprise I have come to the conclusion that this genuinely is a show worth saving, and more than that, it’s a show worth savouring.
I personally don’t give a flying damn about whether or not painting your ship makes it +4 on its saving throw against anomalies, or whether Klingons have different-looking foreheads in a hundred years time. In the words of Stifler, I like to “sit back and let the good times roll”. Maybe that’s why I enjoy Enterprise so much and you all hate it.
Or maybe it’s because I enjoy strong characterisation, excellent acting, incredible special effects and a decent musical score. I love Star Trek, and I’ll follow each new captain into each new frontier. I’ll put up with whatever meaningless s**t B&B the Disaster Duo hit me with because I know there will always be a decent episode around the corner.
Sorry to be so harsh. I’m just getting tired of seeing Star Trek ragged by so-called “fans”. We genuine Trekkers get enough crap from the rest of the world without hearing it from our brothers-in-arms (for want of a less gay-sounding term).

Thank you NoPoet finally a sane person posting about Enterprise. This show really has changed. I know a guy here at work that said he didn’t understand the current plot. After some discussion I enlightented him and now he loves the show. I think this just shows that it isn’t Enterprise that has been dumbed down, but the viewer. They expect to be spoon fed and Ent. isn’t doing that. I must say that we are on the verge of a Trek (hopefully starting in season 4) that will give us TNG quality episoded (which season 3 has been doing about 70% of the time). The tie ins are solid. BTW what will save Trek is NBC snatching Ent. from UPN. UPN just doesn’t have the audience. If they moved Ent to Saturdays on NBC like TNG use to be I think we’d see a movie down the pipe. I wonder is this new “Star Fleet Command” movie (a prequel according to Burman) will have Ent. cast members (much older of course) in it.
