Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “I’d say take your pick of the Bogart/Bacall Blu-Ray titles, the Criterion releases, or the Kino/Lang releases.” Alex says, “I’m going with the Kino/Lang releases as well – though on the anime front I’m likely going to be picking up Ga-Rei Zero.”
Slow week. Lets all talk about Deadpool more.
You know what’s funny? Bill Maher mentioned that he was in a crappy movie called Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death on his show, what, a week, two weeks ago? And now there’s a cheapo re-release. I wonder if someone’s trying to capitalise, or if he knew it’s being re-released so he mentioned it to be ahead of the curve…
I think that fell into the public domain. It comes out every six months or so.
Ok, I watched it. It’s definitely in the “So Bad It’s Good” category. It obviously doesn’t take itself seriously, has some decent acting (for that kind of movie) and some good concepts and lines. It can’t really pull off what it’s trying to do, but I didn’t end up feeling like they owe me an hour and a half of my life back or anything.
