Smallville Discussion – “Forsaken” (new)

This could be a pretty significant episode for the
future. Remember, there are only two episodes left
in season three, and season two will be released on
DVD next Tuesday.

  1. just an observation
As I post this, there are 19 posts for Wednesday’s Angel and 0 for Smallville. Doesn’t that indicate which show people are watching? (And, thus, which show shouldn’t be cancelled?)

I’m watching both – I think that a review just generates more comments than a discussion (especially when the show is going off the air).

Looks like the season finale is going to be interesting – Pete’s going to Wichita, Lana is leaving for Paris, the Magnificent Bastard heading for prison – all we need is a little Jor-El action to kick it up a notch.

        Pete’s going to Wichita,

a seven nation army couldn’t hold
        him back.

Wonder what they’ll do without all those characters. Well, Luthor is still
dangerous from behind bars, Clark could go visit Pete, its just a short jog
        away…

A lot could happen during this season finale. Although I would like to see more focus on the strained relationship with Lex and Lionel, Lex and Clark and Lionel and Clark. There seems to be a SERIOUS lack of trust among everyone in that list. We know the Lana thing is a lost cause. She had to go away eventually (unlikely she’s gone for good, but still). I can’t be the only one that was getting tired of the closing scene of Lana and Clark and another “big talk about us” with them both walking away heartbroken. WE GET IT ALREADY!!

That’s one of two things that I can’t stand about the show – the other being that the freaks of the week are always Kryptonite-induced/meteor shower related. Just once I’d like a villain that has absolutely nothing to do with Krypton and doesn’t have a last name of Luthor.

what about that guy that Lana met in the hospital, that bled out of his eyes. He had super strength, and his powers didn’t come from kryptonite. And that kid with the knife last week–we have no idea where the knife came from, but i’m pretty sure it’s older than the meteor shower.

Adam got his powers from Clark’s blood, and the knife came from Krypton. Had Adam been Bruce Wayne, he would have almost counted, but since he got his powers from Clark’s blood that was given to him by Lionel, he doesn’t count. I want a villain that has absolutely nothing to do with Krypton, Kryptonite or Luthors

I just got around to watching last week’s episode and probably no one will ever see this ;-) but FWIW:

The show *is* Smallville after all. Krypton and the Luthors are what it’s about. Though freak of the week does get tiring, the Adam storyline was original and interesting and I liked it.

What I am totally sick and tired of is Clark *almost* telling Lana. Especially when the promo’s all basically said he *was* going to tell her this time. And Pete running to Wichita is totally stupid: now that people know he knows, he better stick like glue to Clark for protection. In Wichita, he’s toast. Unfortunately, as usual, the Luthor storyline is by far the most interesting…

I don’t watch Angel, but there are typical only a few comments for Smallville. Usually it just takes one person to make one, then more follow.

But I loved this weeks episode. I’m and so glad that season 2 comes out on DVD next week. I’ll have seasons 1 and 2 to get me through the summer.
