High Points

This volume returns to the very impressive, well visualized action of earlier volumes.

Low Points

Where to begin? The pacing of this last volume is very rushed. We get very little explanation of what’s going on, and this is aggravated by the fact that this volume covers hundreds of years of time, including a major flash-back. Also, whatever happened to the other Toa Heavy Industry agent from earlier in the series? It feels like the survey rankings for the series in its magazine went down, and Nihei’s editor gave him one volume to finish the story.
