    • See also Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai (remade as The Magnificent Seven), Yojimbo (remade as For a Fistful of Dollars), The Hidden Fortress (a huge influence on Star Wars), Red Beard and Throne of Blood (his remakes of Shakespeare), Ran, and virtually anything else that had his name on it. Kurosawa was one of the greatest directors in the history of the medium.

      • Absolutely. But Dreams is something he made in the ’90s, and I think his last movie. It’s more an anthology of short stories.
