Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “I’ve been watching Soundbreaking as it’s been airing on my local PBS Affiliate, and it’s a really fun show. I also have really enjoyed what I’ve seen of Okami-san and Her Seven Companions, though I’ve heard it gets a little iffy later in the series.” Blaine says, “nothing in particular jumps out at me.”

  1. Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie was much better than I had hoped. It’s no Masterpiece Theatre but if you liked the show (and I did) it was a good amount of fun and had some good moments. Pretty good send-off for the series.

    Also, when are we getting new Doctor Who episodes??? It’s almost Christmas! How can it be Christmas without a Doctor Who Christmas Special???

  2. I’ll be checking out Pete’s Dragon since: A) The original is one of my wife’s favorite childhood movies and B) I was surprisingly impressed with Favreau’s The Jungle Book.
