CW DCU Discussion: The Flash, “Into the Speed Force,” Legends of Tomorrow, “Moonshot,” and Arrow, “Checkmate”

The Flash, “Into the Speed Force:” The Flash heads into the Speed Force to save Wally, as he and the rest of the team confront seemingly arbitrary rules of reality designed to force drama, and H.R. continues to be annoying.

Legends of Tomorrow, “Moonshot:” Houston, we have a problem.

Arrow, “Checkmate”: Ollie learns more about Prometheus and, rock-star-like, he trashes the Arrowcave. The ep also features a shoot-out at a hockey arena, but of the deadly variety.

  1. On Legends: “entering the dark side of the moon”. *twitch* *twitch* Now, there *is* a dark side of the moon. Just like there is a dark side of the earth. But the part that puts you out of radio contact with earth is the *far* side of the moon which doesn’t necessariy coincide with the dark side. And don’t get me started on that meteor swarm. I get that they were going for “references” there, probably, but that doesn’t make some of these things any more excusable.

    • “Dark” can mean, colloquially, “out of radio contact,” so it could be that the two meanings converged in this instance.

      Hey, I’m trying…

      • Indeed. That had occurred to me. But given the history of the writing on Legends, I think that might be giving them too much credit. :)
