Fox previewed a pair of genre-based comedies this week. The Orville, written and starring Seth MacFarlane seems to trod upon Galaxy Quest‘s territory, and Ghosted, which kind of feels like Warehouse 13. Kind of. And it stars half the leads of Hot Tub Time Machine 2.

Orville looks like it’s worth checking out. Comedy is incredibly sensitive to editing, so the tone in the trailer may not match the series, but it seems like they took extended clips of the show as they were in the show and used them for the trailers, so I’m hopeful. I didn’t laugh out loud, but I was smiling throughout that trailer. Ghosted doesn’t look too bad, either, though I’m not as hopeful.
