Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “I’m a fan of Arcadia of my Youth/em>, and the previous release was lacking in video quality – I’m looking forward to seeing this film remastered.” Blaine says, “the Silver Screen Icons: Murder Mysteries collection is my choice. It’s cost effective, and I’ve seen The Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep, and Dial M For Murder, all of which are great. I have yet to see The Postman Always Rings Twice, but it’s been on my ‘must watch’ list for a while.”

One reply

  1. The 1999 Kiss Me, Kate is wonderful. I highly recommend it. Do not, under any circumstances, watch the 1953 version. It’s horrible. Of course, musicals are meant to be seen on stage, so get yourself to a theatre once in a while.

Parenthood was a great series. At times, it felt like it was narrating my own family’s lives. A little creepy but often therapeutic.

I watched the first few episodes of Hell On Wheels and liked it. I need to get back in and watch it in its entirety.
